Ewelina McDade, MSN, RN, CEN, NPD-BC
Ewelina attended the University of Connecticut, graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing in 2008. She began her career as a bedside Emergency Department nurse, taking on various roles, including precepting novice nurses, triaging, and functioning as a charge nurse. She later took on the role of a Clinical Resource Leader, managing an Emergency Department on-site with various clinical and administrative responsibilities. Ewelina earned a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Sacred Heart University in 2015, where she was awarded the Gold Medal of Excellence, an award designated for the graduate with the highest grade point average. She then pursued a new role as an Emergency Department Nurse Educator, during which she developed a unique 3-day education program for novice Emergency Department nurses. She was awarded the Nightingale Award of Nursing Excellence, a lifetime achievement award, for this work.
Ewelina’s career has reached many heights as she progressed into the role of a manager of a Nursing Professional Development Department, overseeing all nursing education for a 3-hospital region; and most recently as a Director of a Connecticut hospital’s Emergency Department. She was awarded the Patriotic Employer award, in her role as director, by the U.S. military for prioritizing the needs of those who serve. She has vast experience in nursing regulations, standards of care, medical case review, and has a unique ability to rapidly develop a positive rapport with patients, colleagues, and members of the community.

Michelle McDade, MD, FACEP
Dr. McDade earned her Medical Degree in 2003 from Oregon Health and Sciences University. She completed her residency at the University of Connecticut in 2006 as Chief Resident, and has spent the last two decades working as an Emergency Medicine Physician. Over the past ten years, she has grown ties with her community, serving as the Medical Director for an EMS ambulance company and training academy. Dr. McDade continues to work clinically and teach medical students as well as students in allied health fields, and spends time presenting medical knowledge at various health conferences across the state.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. McDade works as Topside Medical Control, supervising health professionals in remote settings via telemedicine. Her cutting-edge medical care combined with her approachable teaching style has fostered top-notch collaborative care in all corners of the globe.
Dr. McDade has medicolegal experience that includes chart reviews and depositions. She utilizes her education background to make complex medical issues simple and easy to understand.
